Gene Moon

Gene has been around animals for most of his life. After spending over 30 years as a small animal veterinarian in Virginia, he retired in 2012, and moved to the Lowcountry. Here, surrounded by such an abundance of incredible natural beauty and wildlife, his interest in photography, lying dormant since his college days, was rekindled. In the years since, and with the encouragement of several wonderful friends and mentors, Gene has honed his skills as a wildlife and nature photographer. He hopes you enjoy these images.
